- This is true - PC's only became usuable at 486 66MHz level. That has now gone
- up to Pentium for Win '95. Macs are only usable at 68030 (SE/30 - great
- little machine btw). Amiga has been usable since day 1!
-
- : What is this adversion Amiga users have fast computers? I never remember
-
- Ther is no adversion - it's just not *necessary*
-
- : Amiga users saying this when the Amiga was about on par with PC's and
- : Macs. No we want faster processors so we can do more or the programs
- : we have can run faster. Are you really saying those people who use
- : Amigas for graphics wouldn't like faster processors?
-
- I'm sure they would!

- : Compared to Excel, WordPerfect, Quark Xpress, Netscape Navigator?
- Hmmm - personal preference plays a big part here! Excel? M$ product - nuff
- said (though it is the best M$ product 'cos it wasn't actually written by
- them!). WordPerfect - WP are just as good on the Amiga! Quark Xpress - I've
- not uesd much but is very good! Industry standard I believe?!?. Netscape -
- well, another hopelessly unstable program. It is good, but needs a hell of a
- lot of improving. I don't have a modem at home so I have never used an Amiga
- browser. IBrowse looks like it could be a contender though!

-
- : New? An '060-50Mhz processor in an Amiga only makes the Amiga run twice
- ^^^^ ?????
- : as fast as an '040-28 (according to Amiga Shopper) and the cheapest one
- : costs around $1400. But then you still can't run Mac software half as
- : fast as the current crop of Macs being sold and you can't run the increasing
- : number of PowerMac only apps.
-
- ??? What is you're point here? The Amiga will be PowerPC based in the v.near
- future. We can all run Amiga, Mac software etc. I wonder which system will
- perform better though..... hmmmm ;-)
-
- BTW - as a Mac user, what do you think of the A1200 hoove....walker? Bear
- (sp?) in mind that yiou could use one in the future as a Mac box also? I'd be
- quite interested on your views!
